COVID-19 Update as of 05/08/2020:  

In accordance with instructions from the Governor and the Board of Regents, all CSCU institutions, including Eastern, will provide online instruction with students attending courses remotely throughout the upcoming summer sessions.  While students will not be on campus this summer, planning continues for a safe and orderly return to campus for faculty, staff, and our students.

 

As a part of this process, a decision has been made to temporarily suspend the hiring of student workers, and University Assistants; and, current agreements with University Assistants will not be renewed at this time.  This policy will remain in place until a comprehensive strategy for returning to campus is identified and associated staffing requirements can be assessed. 

 

Any requests for exceptions to the policy outlined above must be made by the Department head in writing to the Provost or appropriate Vice President no later than May 22, 2020.   Exceptions should only be considered for those positions providing critical services, which are functions that cannot be assumed in the interim by current non-student or UA staff.   Include a short explanation, with specific duties to be performed by the proposed new student employee, or UA, and the date those duties will begin, listing only duties that can be performed remotely at this time  For renewals of UA contracts, identify duties currently being performed remotely, and specify which of these will continue into the new contract period.   In any case, at this time any employment start dates for new hires will be as close to mid-July as possible.

 

Vice Presidents will review requested exceptions and submit any recommendations for approvals to the Chief Human Resources Officer.    Please do not offer employment to any student employees or UAs or agree to renew current UA contracts until an exception has been approved and processed through Human Resources.

How do I receive my W-2? All active employees may go online to Corect.ct.gov to view and print their 2018 W-2. Active employees may also access W-2s back to 2011 online. Former employees who received pay during 2018 will receive their W-2 in the mail.

ePay Login Use this form for first-time login to CORE-CT to access your W-2 and Paystubs. Your user name is your Employee ID number that is on your timesheets. If you do not know your Employee ID number, Student Employment or Payroll can provide you with your ID number.

- There is an updated Federal W-4 Form for 2020! We will no longer accept forms from 2019 

Types of Funding On-Campus:

Operating Fund: This funding source is available to all students. This is provided through the individual departments on campus.

Work Study: This funding source is usually shown in your financial aid package, which can be seen in eWeb as "Federal Work Study Program". It can also be found in your Financial Aid Award Letter.

VA: This funding source requires you to have received the VA Education Benefit.

Grants: This funding source is available to all students.  It is usually provided through the academic departments and is most commonly associated with research positions.
